Dagmar Schneider studied Human Medicine at the Philipps-University of Marburg and University
Hamburg and Biochemistry/Molecular Biology, with the subsidiary subjects Human Genetics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Microbiology, at the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel. She was educated in
European Patent Law by Ascenion GmbH, and is certified in biostatistics, clinical epidemiology and clinical trials by the Harvard Medical School. After her studies about "WNT5A induced
signaling events in human primary cells in the context of mycobacterial infection" and a cooperation with Amgen (USA) at the Microbial Interface Biology biosafety level 3 unit, Research Center
Borstel, Leibnitz-Zentrum für Medizin und Biowissenschaften, she followed an invitation to the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Marine Biotechnology in Lübeck. At the Fraunhofer EMB she worked as
the Head of the Cell Technology Laboratory and Assistant Team Leader. D.Schneider focused on cytotoxicity analysis, transfection and nanoparticle-labeling of human adult stem cells for time-lapse and
Magnetic Particle Imaging. Her experience, innovative ideas and deep understanding of complex issues in different research areas led to her work as Scientific Business Manager at the Technology
Transfer platform Tandem/Medisert, Center of Excellence for Technology and Engineering in Medicine and the BioMedTech Campus in Lübeck. In the context of the Wissenschaftsjahr 2012, D.Schneider
was part of the management team that concepted the Lübeck Science Trail 2012. D. Schneider was involved in a number of teaching activities and was leading several research
projects in cooperation with the Institute for Medical Engineering, Institute of Molecular Medicine, the Institute of Virology and Cell Biology at the University of Lübeck and the University Medical
Center Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH).
In 2013 D. Schneider founded nandatec GmbH, a Nanobiotechnology SME located in Lübeck and Innovation Center Itzehoe, where she functions
as Managing Director until today. 2014 D. Schneider was the idea giver and co-founder of the BMWi- funded ZIM-network NanoFunDuS. 2015 nandatec received the KfW-award Gründerchampions
Schleswig-Holstein 2015. She was nominated for the Publikumspreis KfW-Award and Start-up of the Year Award at the MICRONANO conference, Amsterdam in 2016. 2017 Schneider was one of three finalists of
the IB.SH Unternehmerinnenpreis. During her career she was involved in fundraising for projects of over 28 Mio €. D. Schneider was a member of the selection committee Gründungsstipendium Kiel, Until
today she is a member of the extended board of Life Science Nord e.V. and Supervisory Board Member of LSN Management GmbH. In order to strengthen the technology transfer D.
